Recently, JCAHPO has allowed technicians to use self-study methods to obtain a portion of their CE credits; however, the majority of the credits must be earned through accredited courses. These courses and all certification fees are usually paid for by the physician for whom the technician is employed.
The lack of decent wages in the US is becoming a major problem. The government says there are more jobs and or less people filing for unemployment benefits, maybe, but most jobs now are very low paying. $10 per hour or less is not a living wage, and that is what most retail jobs pay. Rents are also increasing as are utilities. The problem is getting worse not better.
One of the major differences between a job and a career is the amount of education you’ll need to obtain a position. In a career, you’ll probably need some type of formal education, whether it’s an associate degree or a master’s degree. Jobs may not have specific educational requirements. For example, if you wanted to enter a career in finance, you’d most likely need a degree; however, if you wanted to hold a job in retail sales, you could probably do so with only a high school diploma or its equivalent. Many college students take jobs while they’re earning the degrees that will let them pursue careers.

You must be a registered business and this is a very early morning undertaking, much like going early to the fish market if you are a chef to get the freshest products of the day. Some florists, if they are close enough, go every day. Others who are further away can opt for deliveries.
Reporting to the President of the Organization, the Director of Development serves as a key leadership team member and an active participant in making strategic decisions affecting ICERM. In partnership with the President, this position is responsible for all fundraising and development activities. The successful candidate will help forge new relationships to build ICERM’s visibility, impact, and financial resources. The Director of Development also will design and implement a comprehensive plan for developing key external alliances by cultivating individual, foundation and philanthropic support.
