If you’re an active duty military member or veteran, you must complete the same online application forms as new students. If you have already attended NCC at any time in the past, apply as a Returning Student. Great post – and oh so true. I am just now going back to a part-time job that I left back in April. My (old) manager wants me back there because when I was there before, I did more than was expected – I took care of things that an assistant manager should be doing instead. It wore me out, though, and I felt – and rightfully so – that I wasn’t getting paid enough for the work I was doing.
Modders and CC creators have increasingly begun to upload their content onto their own sites instead of ModTheSims (for many reasons, but that’s another article). There’s nothing wrong with that, but you need to be careful, as some creators hide their download links behind a thing called AdFly, or host their downloads on really spammy sites. The best thing is to use AdBlocker when downloading; it’ll keep you safe from viruses or overly spammy AdFly pages!

Difference Between a Job and a Career
So, we’re in the midst of Job Shadow Week here at the U of A. (And yes, you did read that correctly… it isn’t just Reading Week.) Maybe this is the first time you’re hearing about it; or maybe you’ve already signed up, except you’re now on the fence about participating because you realized that you actually wanted to spend the entirety of Reading Week catching up on all the sleep you’ve missed… Regardless, I’m here to tell you why job shadowing is a GIANT step in the right direction! In the Vancouver, Lower Mainland area there are a large number of administrative assistants seeking employment. Although there are company’s seeking to hire for these positions, many appear to be rather particular about who they hire making it an extremely competitive job market.
I’m sure some people out there have a real passion for what they do, I’ve seen people say so on TV and I’ve read comments on here from people that claim that they do, but I’ve never met anyone at all in real life that really enjoys their job (/career) all THAT much.

West Oxnard Job and Career Center
Monday, May 2 is my last day of teaching. Not that I will never step into a classroom again, but it marks the end of my full-time employment by Macalester College. My responsibilities for the future will not require any teaching. I am looking forward to the freedom this phased retirement will bring to focus on my writing and other educational activities, but I also approach this date with some sense of loss. For forty years, I have defined myself as a teacher first. I am taking advantage of this column to reflect on a few of the lessons I have learned over these four decades in the classroom. If one of your top 2 or 3 Holland personality types is Investigative, you’ve hit the job outlook jackpot. In this economy, growth jobs with liveable” wages are in technology, health care, and computer science – fields with many jobs matching the Investigative personality. Don’t turn on auto-run for the DVD and don’t have motion menu that shows them the demo in a thumbnail. You want them to see it at full quality all at once. So, when life is complicated, use that varied experience creatively to stand out from other job hunters, freelancers, consultants, gurus and workers on LinkedIn and elsewhere. Make sure you put your heart and soul into your work. Being genuinely passionate about what you do keeps the momentum and enthusiasm flowing.
