When you work with other people, your personality style will interact with their’s in some pretty predictable ways. As you build a team, these interactions can have a major impact on team effectiveness. Everything from what job requirements feel comfortable to us to who we work with best is heavily influenced by our personality style blend and our knowledge of how to control it. Wages are not typically livable for a single person, but there are promotional opportunities that can bring your salary up to a higher level.
Does your current employer have different areas of the business in which you may be able to retrain and work? This would mean you still have a job and are earning but learning new skills and gaining new experience at the same time. This will help make you more employable in different careers. Sometimes even a change of location to a different site may satisfy your desire to change. Also, look at any training course your employer offers that may be of interest to you and grab them with both hands.
Some obscure laws of human interaction and may explain some of life’s mysteries. There exist a notion among public that call center professionals get stuck in their job profiles and don’t get to higher levels. But there is no dispute that call centers pay well.
Great lens with a lot of good information on employable skills. I do think that we can do a better job of giving our children these skills in education. Give the teachers the tools to teach and pay them well for a job well done. We need to invest in the future of our country, in our children.
